Manufacturer plans to triple its footprint in Dallas' Oak Cliff neighborhood

A Dallas-based manufacturer of concrete curbs and paving accessories has decided to triple its footprint in South Dallas by relocating to a new facility in Oak Cliff next year.

Erect-A-Line Inc., a 45-year-old family company, has signed a lease for about 115,000 square feet of industrial space at 3912 W. Illinois Ave. in Dallas.
The company plans to move from its roughly 36,000-square-foot operation on the eastern side of South Dallas westward into the expanded space next February.

Erect-A-Line's business is centered on concrete paving, building warehouse concrete slabs and creating other concrete-related products. With the expansion, the company is expected to add about 15 new jobs, which will increase its workforce by about 50 percent.

Ongoing road and infrastructure construction in North Texas and throughout the country has led to the company's growth, said Corbin Blount, an associate in Lee & Associates' office in Addison.

"This growth has also allowed Erect-A-Line to expand their product lines and facility capabilities to better serve their customers across the United States," Blount said, in a statement.

Blount and Nathan Denton of DFW Lee & Associates represented Erect-A-Line in its real estate search. Ken Wesson and Christine Vasily of DFW Lee & Associates represented the landlord, Illinois Capital Partners.

Wesson said this deal was the largest lease that has occurred in Oak Cliff in years.
