College Football Playoff to keep Irving headquarters through 2024

Irving-based College Football Playoff has decided to stay at its North Texas headquarters at The Summit at Las Colinas through 2024.

College Football Playoff — the annual postseason game determining college football's kingmakers— has signed an extension on their real estate lease totaling 10,228 square feet at The Summit at Las Colinas at 545 E. John Carpenter Freeway in Irving.
This footprint nearly doubles the original square footage College Football Playoff leased in 2013 upon the formation of the new playoff format.

The 19-story office tower is the perfect place for College Football Playoff because of its close proximity to prime residential neighborhoods and both Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field, said Bill Hancock, executive director of College Football Playoff.

Hancock, who was named one of the most powerful executives in the sports industry, has touted his ability to develop a "lean and mean team," to administrator the college football playoff program.

Peery Wood of CBRE represented College Football Playoff. Kirby White of Gemini Rosemont represented the owner in the real estate deal.

The renewal of College Football Playoff within the Irving office tower is a vote of confidence in the building, said Helen Rivero, senior managing director and investment manager of the ownership group, Gemini Rosemont.
