Telecommunications firm expanding its North Texas presence in Plano

International telecommunications firm Altice USA Inc. has decided to expand its presence in North Texas with a new office in Plano, which it hopes to move into later this year.

The New York-based company has agreed to occupy 79,000 square feet of office space, or the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors at Granite Park V at 5830 Granite Parkway in Plano.
"As a long-time employer in Texas, we are pleased to continue our partnership with the City of Plano, which serves as an important centralized location to benefit the current and long-term needs of our customers," said Lisa Anselmo, Altice's senior vice president of communications.

"We look forward to expanding our current presence into a new facility and creating a great place for our employees to work while making a meaningful impact in the surrounding local communities," she added.

Anselmo expects the company will move into Granite Park by the third quarter, which will bring 400 relocated or new jobs to the city. The company — which has a number of open jobs— already has an office in Plano.

Plano's economic development department expects the move to add $4 million in real property improvements to the city, with $1.2 million of business personal property in Altice's new office.

The city is offering the telecommunications firm economic incentives in the form of a Chapter 380 agreement.

Altice USA acquired Cablevision and Suddenlink Communications in 2016 and 2015, respectively, which formed the telecom's operations in the United States.
