Uptown’s Union project is engineering firm’s new HQ

Primoris Services, now on McKinney, will move to 19th floor of 22-story tower

One of Uptown Dallas’ new office tower projects has landed another major tenant.

Primoris Services Corp. plans to move its headquarters into RED Development’s new Union project, at Akard Street and Cedar Springs Road north of downtown.

Primoris Services is an engineering firm that’s now based in the 2100 McKinney tower. It is one of Dallas-Fort Worth’s largest public companies, with $1.9 billion in revenue in 2015.

The company plans to move its headquarters into 14,000 square feet in the Union project in early 2019. Primoris Services will be on the 19th floor of the 22-story tower.

The $300 million project includes the office tower, a 23-story, 309-unit apartment tower, a Tom Thumb grocery store plus additional retail and restaurants.

“We are excited to move to the Union as our company continues to grow,” said Primoris’ president and CEO, David King. “We were attracted by the building’s location, access, and amenity packages in Uptown all of which make it easier to attract and retain the best workforce.”

With the latest office deal, the Union is now 60 percent leased.
