Mill Creek Residential-led venture kicks off new upscale Uptown apartment community
A Dallas-based apartment developer through a joint venture has started its latest project in the city's urban core by kicking off a new luxury apartment community in Uptown.
The six-story, 190-unit community, called Modera Howell, will bring even more home options to Uptown near N. Hall Street and Howell Street.
Mill Creek Residential was "ecstatic to expand," its presence in Uptown, which is one of the most sought-after locales in Dallas, said Rick Perdue, senior managing director of North Texas for Mill Creek Residential.
Mill Creek Residential is teaming up with Abington Properties in a joint venture on the project, which recently landed construction financing through Kansas City, Mo.-based UMB Bank.
The community will have studio, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom apartment homes with an average square footage of 880 square feet of living space. Modera Howell will also feature penthouse homes with rooftop terraces on the top floor of the building.
Modern Howell's amenities include a rooftop amenity deck, resort-style swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and dining area and a high-tech fitness center. The sixth-floor lounge will overlook Dallas' skyline.
"We designed this community for the discerning renter who wants to be among it all in Uptown while living in an exclusive, boutique environment," said Perdue, in a statement.
Each part of the community was designed with the "renter-by-choice," in mind, he added.
