Henry S Miller III joins his family's namesake real estate firm

The namesake of a century-old Dallas real estate firm has decided to return to his roots at Henry S. Miller Cos. after a 27-year absence as the firm's executive vice president and managing director of mixed-use development.

Henry S Miller III previously served at the Henry S. Miller Cos. as executive vice president and director of investment property sales from 1978 to 1990 before he ventured away from the longtime family-owned company to pursue his own development ventures.
Miller, who is the son of the late Henry S. Miller Jr. and Juanita Miller, was the founding director of Henry S Miller Interests Inc., a company that he oversaw as president and CEO.

The longtime real estate executive was also chairman and CEO of Henry S Miller Partners Inc., where he specialized in urban mixed-use and retail development.
With Urban Partners, Miller oversaw the creation of the West Village, a 350,000-square-foot walkable retail and residential destination in Uptown Dallas. The partnership also developed West Ave. in Houston and the 2nd Street Retail District in Austin.

Henry S Miller III was born in Dallas and graduated from Southern Methodist University in 1968. He also completed the advanced management development program at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design in 2002.
