Stitch Fix to open U.S. distribution hub in Dallas; to hire up to 500

San Francisco-based online personal styling service Stitch Fix plans to open its third U.S. distribution center in southern Dallas near Cockrell Hill Road this year to better service its clients in Texas and the southern United States.
The new hub is expected to create up to 500 jobs when it opens in June.
Stitch Fix has been growing since it opened its doors to the fashion needy in 2011. The company already has hundreds of stylists working throughout the country from San Francisco to Indianapolis (two places where Stitch Fix already has distribution hubs), but this Dallas distribution hub will provide a major spurt on its growth path.
"Stitch Fix has a strong presence in Texas and the decision to locate our third distribution center in Dallas was an easy one," said COO Mike Smith, in a prepared statement. "I have a long standing history with Walmart.com of launching new retail ideas in the Metroplex and feel that the area is a perfect place for Stitch Fix to grow deeper roots."
JLL's Hugh ScottKurt Griffin and Nathan Orbinrepresented Stitch Fix in the company's real estate search.
The styling company has an office in Austin and already employs more than 200 stylists in the Dallas region. Stitch Fix plans to hire up to 500 more employees for its new 316,000-square-foot distribution center in the next year.
