CoreLogic scouting D-FW area for large office space
Add CoreLogic to the list of companies looking at big blocks of office space in North Texas.
The international property information firm which is based in southern California is considering a consolidation of operations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, real estate brokers say.
CoreLogic now has a large office in the Solana business park located northwest of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
The company is scouting new spaces as large as 300,000 square feet and is considering both existing and new construction offices. One of the locations CoreLogic has looked at is Billingsley Co.’s Cypress Waters development on LBJ Freeway at Belt Line Road, brokers say.
CoreLogic officials aren’t ready to provide details about the deal.
“CoreLogic has been and continues to be a longstanding and active member of the Dallas-Fort Worth business community,” said spokeswoman Alyson Austin. “As is true with many companies, it is our ordinary business practice to regularly assess all of our office locations to ensure each one is best suited for the needs of our employees, clients and investors.”
CoreLogic is considering its North Texas real estate options at the same time big changes are happening at its currently location in Solana.
New owner Blackstone Group is going to spend more than $50 million to upgrade the 230-acre business park that’s located on State Highway 114 and was built in the 1980s.
Solona’s new owners hope to attract additional business tenants to the project with the renovations.
Blackstone bought the office park in September for a reported $180 million.
The office space at Solana was only about 50 percent occupied when it changed hands.
Other companies that are in the hunt for major new offices in North Texas include J.P. Morgan Chase, TD Ameritrade and Liberty Mutual, real estate brokers say.
