Construction starts today on community on Lewisville Lake
Developers are breaking ground in Denton County today on a new residential community planned for 700 to 800 homes.
North Carolina-based Crescent Communities and Taylor-Duncan Interests of Dallas are building the 250-acre Wildridge community on Lake Lewisville in the town of Oak Point.
The new subdivision is on Shahan Prairie Road, south of U.S. Highway 380.
“The property is one of the most desirable parcels in the region, with lake access, numerous large oak trees and scenic vistas,” Steve Yetts, senior vice president for Crescent Communities, said in a statement.
Wildridge will include community center, parks, trails and two ponds. Homes in the development will be priced from near $250,000 to more than $300,000.
In business since 1969, Crescent Communities has developments in the Austin area and near Houston.
