Regions Bank Relocating its Dallas Headquarters to Uptown Building
Alabama-based Regions Bank is ramping up its local presence and moving its Dallas headquarters to an Uptown office tower.
The banking firm has rented more than two floors in the 17Seventeen McKinney office tower near Woodall Rodgers Freeway from developer Granite Properties.
The bank will be a new lead tenant in the tower, with a large sign on top of the building.
“This will really increase our visibility in Dallas,” said Scott Jones, Regions Bank’s Dallas-Fort Worth president. “We are going to have approximately 160 employees moving into the building.
“And we expect to have close to 200 people there in the next couple of years,” he said. “We’ve totally outgrown our old office.”
Along with the office space on the 11th and 12th floors, Regions Bank is renting a space on the ground floor of the 17Seventeen tower for a retail banking operation. The bank will have almost 71,000 square feet in the building.
Regions Bank’s main office is now at 1111 W. Mockingbird Lane at Stemmons Freeway near Love Field.
“We are not in the most desirable building at this time,” Jones said. “And this will give us room to grow.”
Regions Bank plans to relocate to Uptown late this year.
The 17Seventeen McKinney tower is one of the newer office buildings in central Dallas. The 19-story tower is almost fully leased to tenants including Top Golf Inc., Ackerman McQueen, Colliers International and Huitt-Zollars.
