Perot Family’s Hillwood in Talks to Buy Key Downtown Dallas Site

When it comes to hot property corners, you can’t do better than the intersection of Woodall Rodgers Freeway and Field Street in downtown Dallas.
The busy crossroads is the nexus between downtown and Uptown.
Last week, the nonprofit Shraman South Asian Museum and Learning Center Foundation bought 4.7 acres at the southwest corner of Woodall Rodgers and Field for future construction of a new cultural center.
Now the Bank of America drive through across the street is close to selling, property brokers say.
Developer and investor Hillwood is in talks to acquire the 1.75-acre site.
Hillwood developed the nearby Victory Park project at Woodall Rodgers and Houston Street.
And Hillwood’s owners, the Perot family, were the benefactors of the hugely popular Perot Museum of Nature and Science at the northwest corner of Woodall Rodgers and Field.
