Architects and Developers Eye Choice Turtle Creek Tract in Dallas’ Oak Lawn District

A Turtle Creek property that’s been in the same hands since the 1980s boom could finally be getting a building.

The empty, hillside lot at Turtle Creek Boulevard and Cedar Springs Road has been owned by investor General Electric Pension Trust since 1986.

Now GE is working with a developer and Houston’s Ziegler Cooper Architects and Odell Architects of Virginia on a 20-story office tower for the Oak Lawn site.

The development location is just a few blocks north of Uptown and the landmark Crescent complex.

The architects have designed a striking building done in mostly metal and glass.

And developer M-M Properties – the same firm that’s redoing downtown’s Plaza of Americas – is working on the 300,000-square-foot office tower project.
