The boom in the Dallas-Fort Worth apartment market demonstrates a shift in how North Texans are thinking about housing.
During the last few years, the local apartment market has grown by more than 40,000 net leases, while home purchases have continued to sag.
Of course the economy is a big part of it. Folks who are worried about their jobs or have already lost income aren’t likely to sign up for a 30-year loan.
The shakeout in the housing market has also pushed thousands of potential buyers into the rental market.
Surprisingly, landlords say that huge volumes of home foreclosures in the last few years have not sent as many new apartment renters their way."

No doubt with this actually. As housing market changes, probably the economic status of lifestyle of people adjusts and changes along with the market change as well so that they may be able to survive such condition.
